Mr. Lanre Mojola (CBIFM, CIPD, PMP, MSC)
Lanre graduated with a BSc. in Estate Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Nigeria in year 2000.
He possesses a Master’s of Science (MSc) Degree in Facilities & Asset Management from the Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He is also a Certified Member (CBIFM) of the prestigious BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) UK and a member of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) USA. He is due to complete his MBA with emphasis in Facilities Management from the Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom by September 2019.
After his first degree he worked as a site officer at Crown Realties Plc, developers of several residential estates across Nigeria. He also worked with GTBank prior to going abroad to further his education.
During his time in the United Kingdom, he worked with Lloyds TSB Group (Asset Finance Division) for a year in Edinburgh. Thereafter, he joined DEFRA (Department for Environment, Foods & Rural Affairs) in London as a Facilities Management Consultant to the UK government. Whilst at DEFRA Lanre acted as the sustainability champion for the London estate and was heavily involved in implementing Defra’s Energy, Waste & Carbon emissions reduction strategy for the estate.
Upon expiration of his project with DEFRA, he joined Interserve Facilities Management Plc, London, in 2008, to work on the same DEFRA contract. He was responsible for managing several buildings in Central London. He managed the integrated facilities management team, external service providers and their supply chain. His other responsibilities included Project Management, Performance Monitoring & Management, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management (QSHE).
Lanre possesses other professional qualifications such as PRINCE2 Project
Management Certification, IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health),
NEBOSH (General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety). Other than the
above mentioned associations, he is also a member of several associations such
as Association of Project Managers UK, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
Lanre has delivered several training sessions and attended conferences on
Facilities & Project Management, Sustainable Operations, Recycling &
Renewables, Energy & Carbon Reduction within Nigeria and abroad.
He recently produced Facilities Management Blueprints for some MDAs
(Ministries Departments & Agency’s) at the Federal levels. He has also worked
with state governments in Nigeria and facilitates Facilities Management
training programmes within and outside the country.
Some of the clients he has consulted for include The Federal Ministry of
Environment (MOE), Kaduna State Government, Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA),
Lagos State Government, UNILAG CONSULT etc.
Asides, his FM consultancy focused within the Public Sector, he was Managing
Director, Filmo Facilities Management for 5 years prior to establishing his FM
consultancy company, Inservia Assets Limited.
He is also an associate lecturer at the University of Lagos where he teaches the
MSC degree in Facilities Management to Master’s Degree students.
He is currently the DG/CEO, Lagos State Safety commission, the agency of Lagos
State responsible for the safety of lives and property across the state.
When not working, he enjoys watching Football & Formula 1 and also loves
listening to music.
